AMANO

Tiles of Ezra Amano Canada brings the nostalgic beauty of ancient European and Mediterranean interiors into your home, perfectly blending historical artisan charm with modern architectural craftsmanship. Designed by world-renowned interior architect Georgia Ezra, this premium series reinterprets the warmth, organic character, and tactile luxury of traditional decorative ceramics for contemporary living. Inspired by the soft, light-reflective surfaces of hand-applied glazes, original hand-drawn sketches, and the storied weathered façades of coastal Mediterranean villas, this collection introduces deep cobalt blues, creamy off-whites, and earthy chocolate tones that feel warm, deeply intentional, and effortlessly authentic.

Each tile is a masterclass in bespoke design, defined by deliberate natural variations, subtle surface undulation, and a slightly textured, wabi-sabi aesthetic that injects a timeless soul into any room. The collection features versatile wall tiles in a classic 100x100mm square format with a glossy, hand-glazed finish and beautifully rustic, hand-finished edges. To complement these foundational pieces, the series offers matching 200x60mm and 200x65mm decorative border tiles. Together, they create endless layout possibilities—from simple field installations on custom kitchen backsplashes to framed, artwork-like borders surrounding bathroom mirrors, shower recesses, luxury vanities, or dramatic window surrounds.

Amano reinterprets traditional European styles like handpainted Delft and Portuguese Azulejos tilework with remarkable realism, highlighting texture, heritage, and the quiet elegance of slow-crafted design. By swapping automated factory lines for a completely hands-on approach, every individual piece is hard-pressed from raw natural clay, solar-dried, and hand-painted by master craftsmen using specialized, ancient silkscreen and glazing techniques. The result is a premium tile collection that feels both historic and fresh, bringing a relaxed, globally inspired atmosphere into any custom home, fireplace surround, or architectural feature wall.

Individual hand-decoration means subtle fluctuations in color and texture are authentic hallmarks of artisan clay rather than defects. Ordering extra wastage allows for on-site tile selection for those seeking uniformity. Because these tiles are crafted entirely by hand rather than run through a machine, they introduce a distinct visual heartbeat into high-end Canadian interior spaces. Interior designers from coast to coast rely on this stunning line to anchor their primary focal points, transforming simple rooms into absolute masterpieces of living art.
