FS ROOTS

Francisco Segarra takes us on an intimate design journey back to the deep historical origins of the Peronda Group with the breathtaking FS Roots collection, specially created for the company’s milestone 50th-anniversary edition [site:peronda.com]. This special commemorative collection includes four distinct models that masterfully evoke the early days of Peronda’s production plant number one [site:peronda.com]. With weathered ornamental patterns reminiscent of the company’s true industrial roots, the FS Roots line adds an incredible sense of welcoming warmth, texture, and structural comfort to any modern architectural space [site:peronda.com].

The timeless design framework is absolutely perfect for both high-end residential interiors and public environments, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of creative commercial renovation projects [site:peronda.com]. Balancing a historic, antique aesthetic with modern manufacturing precision, these durable 45×45 cm tiles display deliberate faux signs of wear and organic glaze variations [site:peronda.com]. This structural detailing allows them to perfectly replicate authentic handcrafted cement tiles, making them a stunning choice for luxury kitchen floors, heritage bathroom renovations, entryway accents, or commercial feature walls.

As an elite special order collection, the FS Roots series is available exclusively through authorized pipelines like Local Tile Co. Sourcing through our direct procurement network guarantees your materials are manufactured and packaged as a single, matching production batch in Spain, completely protecting your project against unwanted dye-lot inconsistencies.

Technical Installation & Pre-Scored Faux-Joint Guide
To maximize the seamless look of the FS Roots system, precise installation steps should be followed. This collection features integrated pre-scored lines baked directly into the surface glaze [site:peronda.com]. This clever design layout visually breaks the tile up into a 4-in-1 format, giving the authentic appearance of smaller, hand-laid checkerboard mosaic tiles once completely grouted.

Ensure your tiling professional utilizes a premium thinset mortar suited for heavy ceramic bodies. When selecting a grout color, opt for an off-white, light grey, or charcoal shade that matches the pre-scored channels perfectly. This masks the actual physical grout lines, creating a continuous, unbroken tapestry of historic geometric patterns across your floor layout.
