FS ORIGINAL

The FS ORIGINAL collection is back and better than ever! Designed by the renowned Francisco Segarra for Peronda, this signature 45×45 cm red-body ceramic tile line beautifully revives the classic patterns and time-honoured motifs of traditional European ceramic tiles while injecting a sophisticated modern twist [site:peronda.com]. Its vintage-inspired designs bring incredible warmth, organic character, and a timeless style to high-end residential kitchens, boutique bathrooms, custom feature walls, and bustling commercial spaces [site:peronda.com].

By masterfully combining heritage aesthetics with today’s most coveted interior design trends, the FS ORIGINAL collection serves as a highly versatile choice for any architectural project [site:peronda.com]. Available in multiple historic patterns and weathered colorways, these durable tiles are perfectly suited for both heavy-use wall and floor installations [site:peronda.com]. Engineered with advanced “Layer Tech” manufacturing technology, the surfaces feature an intentional interplay of rich matte finishes and subtle glossy glazes [site:peronda.com]. This depth of texture allows the tile to recreate the organic weathering and artisan imperfections of genuine salvaged antique flooring.

Due to its highly artistic nature and premium imported status, the FS ORIGINAL collection is available primarily via custom special order. Sourcing your project through an authorized Canadian distributor ensures that your materials are packaged and dispatched directly from the factory in Spain as a single, uniform production run, successfully preventing unwanted layout variations.

Technical Installation & Pre-Scored Faux-Joint Guide
To maximize the seamless look of the FS ORIGINAL system, precise installation steps should be followed. This collection features built-in pre-scored channels baked directly into the surface glaze. This clever engineering gives each massive 45×45 cm slab the authentic appearance of smaller, hand-laid antique square tiles once the installation is finalized.

Ensure your tiling professional utilizes a premium polymer-modified thinset mortar. When grouting, selecting a vintage-inspired medium grey, dark charcoal, or soft off-white grout matrix is critical to filling both the real physical joints and the faux pre-scored lines uniformly. This technique effectively masks the physical joints, revealing an unbroken, continuous tapestry of historic geometric patterns across your floor layout.
