FS MIRAMBEL

Description

Experience the exquisite artistry of classic European design with FS Mirambel, part of the highly exclusive decorative surface line designed by the renowned Francisco Segarra for Peronda [site:peronda.com]. This stunning collection draws deep historical inspiration from the traditional handcrafted technique of stencil-painted ceramic tiles—a historic method where waxed, cut-out papers were meticulously used as templates to create intricate, flowing serial decorations on clay bodies. The artisan process involved placing the stencil carefully over the raw tile and gently applying color to the exposed cut-out sections, resulting in beautifully detailed, organic patterns that define vintage Mediterranean architecture.

The FS Mirambel line brings back the undeniable vintage charm of classic two-tone ceramic tiles, perfectly combining traditional glazed white fields painted with deep cobalt blue and ivory hues, accented brilliantly with iron and magnesium oxide tones [site:peronda.com]. These 45×45 cm square tiles embody the timeless elegance of authentic craftsmanship while offering the robust durability and design versatility needed for modern high-traffic spaces. Because this signature series is imported directly from Spain, it is available primarily via custom special order. Sourcing your project layout through an authorized Canadian partner guarantees that your layout is supplied from a single, matching production dye lot.

Technical Installation & Faux-Joint Grouting Guide
These 45×45 cm square slabs are manufactured with integrated pre-scored lines across the face of the material [site:peronda.com]. This clever design layout visually breaks the tile up into a 4-in-1 format, giving the authentic appearance of smaller, hand-laid square tiles once completely grouted.

Ensure your tiling professional uses a high-quality thinset mortar suited for heavy-bodied ceramic tiles. When grouting, selecting an off-white, light grey, or soft ivory grout matrix is critical to filling both the real physical gaps and the faux pre-scored lines uniformly. This technique masks the physical joints, creating an expansive, unbroken pattern of bold geometric art across your room.
