FS MARAIS

Step into a world of genuine vintage charm and Bohemian elegance with FS Marais, a brilliant decorative tile collection designed by the renowned Francisco Segarra for Peronda [site:peronda.com]. This vibrant collection draws its primary design inspiration directly from the iconic Art Déco movement, masterfully featuring a highly colorful geometric pattern combined with precision faux-joints and an authentic weathered cement tile appearance [site:peronda.com]. The individual tiles also boast a highly meticulous, built-in worn effect that is deeply evocative of the natural passage of time, adding an incredibly unique character and historic soul to any modern interior space [site:peronda.com].

Drawing its deep cultural inspiration from Le Marais—a historic Parisian quartier celebrated globally for its artistic, Bohemian influences—the trend-setting FS Marais line seamlessly reimagines traditional European styles to offer a highly fashionable decorative look for contemporary homes [site:peronda.com]. Perfect for creating captivating residential statement walls or high-impact feature floors, this collection can also be seamlessly paired with the coordinating FS Rue model for a cohesive, professional designer-inspired aesthetic across your entire layout [site:peronda.com]. Because these premium ceramic surfaces are imported directly from Spain, they are available strictly via custom special order. Sourcing your layout through an authorized partner like Local Tile Co. ensures your order is packed and dispatched from a single, matching production dye lot.

Technical Installation & Faux-Joint Grouting Guide
To maximize the geometric impact of the FS Marais collection, professional installation techniques are highly recommended. These 45×45 cm square slabs are manufactured with integrated pre-scored lines across the face of the material [site:peronda.com]. This clever design layout visually breaks the tile up into smaller segments, giving the illusion of smaller, hand-laid square tiles once completely grouted.

Ensure your tiling professional uses a high-quality thinset mortar suited for heavy-bodied ceramic tiles. When grouting, selecting a vintage-inspired dark grey, charcoal, or soft off-white grout matrix is critical to filling both the real physical gaps and the faux pre-scored lines uniformly. This technique masks the physical joints, creating an expansive, unbroken pattern of bold geometric art across your room.
