FS FARFALLA

Introducing FS FARFALLA, a highly distinctive ceramic tile collection from Peronda designed by the acclaimed Francisco Segarra [site:peronda.com]. This breathtaking collection passionately celebrates the timeless, old-world appeal of traditional encaustic and hydraulic‑look flooring, while effortlessly adding a fresh, contemporary twist to modern spaces [site:peronda.com]. Featuring bold geometric patterns and incredibly vibrant, eye-catching colours—including rich Cobalt Blue, warm Vintage Mustard, and deep Artistic Violet—the FS FARFALLA series completely transforms standard floors into expressive, design-driven surfaces that demand attention [site:peronda.com].

Each premium tile measures a substantial 45×45 cm format with a precise 0.95 cm thickness, making it absolutely perfect for interior floor applications that demand both heavy-duty structural durability and immense aesthetic impact [site:peronda.com]. The subtly aged, weathered patterns beautifully evoke a sense of deep European heritage and historic artisan craftsmanship [site:peronda.com]. This enables the collection to fit seamlessly into high-end residential custom homes, luxurious kitchen spaces, and boutique commercial environments alike. Engineered with advanced manufacturing, the surface balances a rustic matte backdrop with delicate glossy detailing that captures ambient light beautifully.

Because this signature series is imported directly from Spain, it is available primarily via custom special order. Sourcing your project through an authorized Canadian partner like Local Tile Co. ensures that your materials are packaged, shipped, and fulfilled directly from the factory as a single, uniform production run. This prevents unwanted shade or dye-lot discrepancies across your finished floor layout.

Technical Installation & Pre-Scored Faux-Joint Guide
To maximize the seamless look of the FS FARFALLA

system, precise installation steps should be followed. This collection features integrated pre-scored lines baked directly into the surface glaze [site:peronda.com]. This clever design layout visually breaks the tile up into a 4-in-1 format, giving the authentic appearance of smaller, hand-laid checkerboard mosaic tiles once completely grouted.

Ensure your installer utilizes a premium thinset mortar suited for heavy-bodied ceramic tiles. When grouting, selecting a vintage-inspired dark grey, slate, or soft off-white grout matrix is critical to filling both the real physical joints and the faux pre-scored lines uniformly. This technique effectively masks the physical joints, revealing an unbroken, continuous tapestry of historic encaustic patterns across your floor layout.
