Description
Welcome to a new standard of organic minimalism. The Italgraniti Calcis series, featured proudly at Local Tile Co., represents a masterclass in modern surface design by pairing the soothing warmth of Italian Limestone styling with advanced Italian porcelain technology. Engineered to serve as a foundational element for high-end architecture, this collection offers a tactile depth that transforms floors and walls into calm, light-filled sanctuaries.
The Inspiration: Limestone Meets Marfil Luxury
Rather than duplicating a single material, Italgraniti engineered Calcis by blending the distinct personal aesthetics of two timeless natural stones. The surface features the delicate, sedimentary graining characteristic of fine Italian Limestone, layered under soft, understated vein structures inspired by Spain’s legendary Alicante Marfil quarries. The final result is an incredibly authentic surface that yields exceptional graphic variation from tile to tile, delivering an organic look that is virtually impossible to distinguish from freshly quarried stone.
Premium Color Palette & Architectural Decors
Our stock lineup provides an elegant, earth-inspired palette suited for minimalist, coastal, and transitional design themes. Each shade features a corresponding structured decor tile to create cohesive accent walls, backsplashes, and shower surrounds:
-
- Avorio & Avorio Decor: A bright, airy ivory hue that optimizes natural room light. Its corresponding textured decor brings subtle, tactile geometry to vertical applications.
- Crema & Crema Decor: A soft, enveloping cream stone aesthetic that creates a soothing background ambiance. The matching decor tile functions as an upscale feature element.
- Corda & Corda Decor: A versatile, mid-tone warm beige reflecting the natural beauty of organic hemp and rope textures. Excellent for establishing cozy, earthy environments.
- Visone & Visone Decor: A deep, contemporary mink-grey offering sophisticated tone-on-tone contrast for progressive architectural layouts.
Rectified Large-Format Stock Sizes
To achieve the grand look of real flagstone layouts, Local Tile Co. inventories the Calcis series in two large-format variations. Every tile features precisely ground, rectified edges to accommodate ultra-thin grout joints:
-
- 24″ x 24″ (60cm x 60cm): A balanced, symmetrical option for traditional grids on bathroom floors, kitchen surfaces, and main living areas.
- 24″ x 48″ (60cm x 120cm): An elongated slab format that cuts down visual clutter, making spaces look significantly larger.
Exceptional Engineering and Sustainability
This collection delivers the pristine aesthetics of Italian Limestone without the high-maintenance demands of natural stone. Real limestone is porous, prone to staining, and demands recurring chemical sealing. Calcis porcelain is completely non-porous, stain-resistant, scratch-resistant, and requires nothing more than simple water and mild soap to maintain its pristine appearance.
Fired at extreme temperatures exceeding 1,220°C, these porcelain tiles deliver robust mechanical strength and low water absorption (\(\leq 0.5\%\)), making them suitable for intense foot traffic. Furthermore, Italgraniti manufactures this collection under strict EMAS-ISO 14001 environmental certified conditions utilizing eco-friendly, pre-consumer recycled materials, contributing directly toward green building LEED credits.
Whether you are plotting a modern master bathroom retreat, an open-concept kitchen floor, or a luxurious light-filled commercial foyer, the Calcis series delivers enduring beauty.
